Common Sense Memes
Some truths I find through Facebook Memes — resonate common sense and courtesy. It’s usually easier to post them on social media and get a bunch of likes than it is to actually put them into practice.
One of My Favorite Memes
Life is hard enough. Don’t be difficult, I said to my reflection in the mirror. ~ Patsy Clairmont.

Who Me . . . Difficult?
Don’t be Difficult is a great encapsulation of something Christ said:
What I’m saying is, If you walk around with your nose in the air, you’re going to end up flat on your face. (Luke 14:10 ~ The Message )
Some days, especially when my nose is not where it should be, I need a mirror !
Hence, I made an acrostic – a list of concrete verbs, (verb gerunds to be precise) that make relationships difficult and even wreck some, and why.
Making the acrostic also put me into Scripture– a mirror from which I can be prone to wander.
Don’t BE Difficult means Don’t be
Demanding —James 4:15
Insulting — 1Peter 3:9-17
Fault-finding– Matthew 7:3
Flaunting — Job 1:21
Ignoring — Proverbs 24:11-12
Complaining– Philippians 2:14
Underestimating — John 1:46
Lusting — 1 John2:16
Taunting — 1 Peter 3:9
How’s that for starters? I bet you can come up with an even better acrostic. What does it mean to you to say to your self: Don’t Be Difficult? That may be better advice than any of the old Facebook memes to date!
