Complaint or Compliment?

Figuring Out What’s Happening

Having received FaceBook notices from friends who are angry on all points on the political spectrum, I agree that “She persisted,” (a description of Senator Warren by Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell) has become an eloquent but unintentional rallying cry for his opponents. Howsomeever, this simple sentence is  like a double-edged compliment as well as a complaint!

To persist – persevere – for the right reason, in the right way, and in the right spirit is a good goal — even if not everybody applauds. Oh! How I wish our elected reps would master this art!

In the meantime, how I hope that this simple sentence, could describe me in this day’s duties, trials and pleasures. She persisted!

You, too dear reader – however you voted.

So let’s not get tired of doing what is good. At just the right time we will reap a harvest of blessing if we don’t give up. ( Galatians 6:9)
