St. Distaff’s Day
Thank you Peg Bracken for reminding me of a chore I will never have to do – nor have I ever attempted it, old and cute as I am.

Maybe Tudor scholars know the celebration; I did not. (Another reason I love almanacs!)
So, all you women out there need to get back to your spinning today and do make sure you throw water over any young men who try to distract you!
