As Holy Week 2024 begins, news of the times continue to depress; news of friends’ troubles, sadden — and my faith . . . well it wobbles.

I was glad for today’s meditation that directed me to Isaiah 50:10:

Who among you fears the LORD and obeys the voice of his servant? Let him who walks in darkness and has no light trust in the name of the LORD and rely on his God.

Doubly glad I  also was for a memory of Facebook that refreshed  this hope through the preaching of a former pastor — Dealing with Doubt–a sermon by Glenn Parkinson. It’s about 27 minutes of time well-spent.

As this Holy Week begins and we celebrate when Jesus Enters Jerusalem —for you and me, dear reader, I pray, revive our hearts O Lord — and deal with our doubts — because walking by the power of my own lamps isn’t a wise plan. (Isaiah 50:11 )
